Adult Faith Formation

Connections

Beginning this fall, all Parishioners (kids to Adults) are invited to this intergenerational Faith Formation Session that will strengthen our connections to one another and with God.  Please join us (no registration needed, no fee) in Peter O'Neill Hall.

  Dates/Times: Sunday mornings from 10:15-11:30am February 5, 2012 and March 4, 2012
                            OR
                            Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm to 7:30pm February 1, 2012, and March 7, 2012.

 

Bible Study

Learn more about the Bible through the Little Rock Scripture Study series. Small groups and excellent materials make this a great way to grow in your faith.  No Bible Study experience necessary.

  Dates/Times: The Book of Wisdom: Wednesdays, beginning February 1, from 1:30-3:30pm for 5 weeks.  Click here to register.

 

JustFaith

JustFaith is an extended justice education process that meets weekly employing books, videos, guest speakers, discussion, prayer, retreats and hands-on experiences. Participants are also afforded the privilege of becoming community with other participants and sharing a journey of faith and compassion that is both life-giving and challenging.   Dates/Times: September through May. Thursday evenings 6:30-9pm.  

 

Engaging Spirituality

Deepen your spiritual life with a retreat, prayer and reflection, book discussions, spiritual immersions, viewing documentaries, correspondence from spiritual teachers across the globe, and a review of spiritual practices and exercises. Call Bob Walz (789-3181) for more information.

  Dates/Times: October through May. Sunday mornings 10am-12:30pm.

 

JustMatters

A series of programs for parishioners wanting to learn more about particular justice issues facing us today. This is a non-partisan approach that incorporates the position of the Caholic Church. 

 

Lenten Series 2012

Our Lenten Series will be to read and discuss Fr. Richard Rohr's book titled  Falling Upwords, Spirituality for the Second Half of LIfe.  Contact Bob Walz (789-3181) with any questions.

Rebuilding

Rebuilding is a 10 week series for individuals experiencing separation or divorce. It is devoted to self-discovery, healing and growing beyond the ending of a relationship. Contact Deacon Terry Beer (789-3173) for more information.

  Dates/Times: Winter: Thursday evenings beginning Januray 19, 2012, 6:30-8:30pm.

 

Evensong

 

Set aside time to pray through song and seasonal readings roughly once a month.

  Dates/Times: Sundays at 7p.m.  February  5, March 4, and May 6, 2012.

 

Sowers Quarterly Forums

Sowers of Justice is a network for Catholics in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area who are committed to changing hearts and changing social structures on behalf of justice. At Guardian Angels, we will sponsor quarterly forums. Contact Bob Walz (789-3181) for further information.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

An ongoing, year-round process of faith formation for adults seeking to join the Catholic Church. Sessions take place on Sunday mornings. Contact Michael Strande for more information.
