Holistic Faith Formation For Teens 7-12

The purpose of Youth Ministry is to appeal to and encourage the development of the whole person. Teens need to have opportunities to:

1. Serve others.
2. Reflect on their experiences.
3. Challenge their faith.
4. Have fun in a healthy environment.
5. Learn from other student Our Youth Ministry Program offers a variety of such opportunities. 

We invite students to participate and always welcome their friends! All opportunities are available because of adult volunteers.  If you are interested in helping make these events possible, please indicate that on your Stewardship of Time and Talent form. 

Activities we offer may change from year to year, below is a video the teens made to raise awareness about Household Hazardous Waste.  It was paid for by a grant from Community POWER.

ACTIVITIES

Spring Lock In: Friday, April 13.  Students in grades 7-12 are invited to this fun event!  Click here to view and download the flier and permission slip.

Summer Stretch!  - Summer 2011 Activity Chart
Students entering grades 7-9 are invited to this fun program.  We meet once a week for six weeks on Wednesdays.  Students gather in the morning at 8:30am for some ice breakers and prayer.  By 9:15am we are headed out in groups with a parent chaperone to various service sites (elderly, children, food shelf, GA garden, etc.).  We volunteer at the sites for about 2 hours and then return to Guardian Angels for a No-Waste Lunch.

After lunch, we go in a bus to various recreational sites and swim, play laser tag, bowl, watch a show, etc.  The day ends by about 4:45pm.  The last day of the program is an all day thank you to our students at Valley Fair.  Contact Heidi for more information.
